World of Tapas

Tapas is not just a tiny Spanish snack served with a glass of home-made wine or a glass of local beer. It is also a way of spending time meeting friends and tasting various dishes together. Tapas is sometimes the whole night in good company and pleasant atmosphere of the place.
It is almost a ritual to meet friends between 10:00 and 11:00 in the morning for a short breakfast chat over almnerzo, coffee and a piece of bread dipped in olive oil. In the middle of the day – between 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm it’s time for la Amida – a general rehearsal of the culinary course of the day. It always starts with dry Fino Sherry wine and appetizers. The main course is fish or meat served with white bread and appropriately selected wine, and for dessert – a board of Spanish cheeses or sweets.
Between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. there is a merienda – a kind of afternoon tea, and late in the evening, around 10:00 p.m., after the alcohol tour, a small dinner is served – the price at which you usually go to the bar, where the bartender invites you for tasty drinks to end the day. We invite you to our garden for a new summer menu and summer drinks!
The idea for our restaurant was born in 1967 from this Spanish culture of spending the day, during which there is always time for a para pikara, something to snack on. In our Poznań El Mundo de Tapas meet people who love to enjoy life and pamper the sense of taste with Spanish dishes. The uniqueness of Spanish cuisine lies in the wonderful combination of taste, smell and color. It’s not about eating your fill, it’s about savoring outstanding snacks with friends over a glass of good wine, sherry or other favorite alcohol.
El Mundo de Tapas is a restaurant where you can always try something new and feel at home at the same time. It is a place where time flows slowly – in the morning with delicious coffee or liquid chocolate, and in the evening with original Spanish drinks. It is a space where you can spend time alone, with friends or at a party – more or less official. On special days, you can organize occasional parties for the family, corporate events or large Spanish events in the restaurant’s garden. In addition to Spanish dishes, we also offer Polish and Mediterranean cuisine.
El Mundo de Tapas will make Spanish cuisine, savored in the aura of lights and hot flamenco rhythms, introduce you to the atmosphere of the Iberian Peninsula. It is enough to be near the Old Market Square in Poznań…
